You’ve tried everything: you’ve used best practices in your business, you’ve tried to work things out at home. But no matter what you do, things either stay “stuck,” or they stay out of control. Often, when nothing you do is working you need to address the unseen energies shaping your life. Everything in the universe is made up of energy. Every single day, we come into contact with a multitude of energies – from the people we encounter to the environments in which we live and work. These energies can be beneficial (bringing in prosperity) or they can be negative (creating obstacles and misfortune). The ancient sciences of Classical Feng Shui and Vaastu reveal how your environment is affecting your career, money luck, health and relationships. But Feng Shui and Vaastu can do even more. Let’s look closer:

1. What you don’t know – or don’t believe – can still hurt you. Ignorance is not bliss. Correctly done, an authentic Classical Feng Shui and Vaastu consultation can use time-tested mathematical formulas to reveal if a building is prone to fire, burglary, ill health or even legal hassles. Should it scare you to know of such dangers? Not necessarily. By knowing in advance you can exercise extra caution and even put remedies in place to minimize or even completely avoid a negative event. There are even ways to turn around “negative energies” and use them to your advantage – this is included in the monthly advice I give my corporate clients, for example.

A very close friend of mine moved into a home that clearly indicated the potential for tumors and cancer. Before she moved in, I told her what I saw. She loved the house and said she didn’t believe in negative energies. “Besides,” she said, “I can defy negative energies with positive intentions.” Well, whether or not we believe in the law of gravity, we are all affected by it. The same can be said about the unseen energies around us. Five years after moving into the house my friend was diagnosed with breast cancer.

2. What you do know with Feng Shui can alter your destiny. When authentic Classical Feng Shui and Vaastu are done correctly, there are ways to manipulate or even alter energies to help us get what we want. Suppose, for example, a couple is having great difficulty conceiving a child. A New Age Feng Shui consultant might simply say to put “baby trinkets” in the west or “children’s sector” of the home. This isn’t just silly, it can be downright heartbreaking when months continue to go by without any hope of a child.

It takes powerful Feng Shui to alter powerful energies. That’s why authentic Classical Feng Shui can make such a difference. In fact, before the couple spends thousands of dollars on in-vitro fertilization, Classical Feng Shui can actually help tap into powerful energies that can make it easy to conceive. Plus, a trained consultant can calculate the best time for sexual relations to occur, further enhancing the likelihood of conception.

3. Is it a bad economy … or bad Feng Shui? Whatever is happening in your life is a direct reflection of what is happening energetically in your home. So, if you’re currently going through a rough time financially, you might need Feng Shui to help you figure out why clients are canceling, work is falling through, and there is not enough money. Instead of being a victim of bad economics, you might really be under the influence of bad energies that are sabotaging and suppressing your money luck. Negative energy could also be the culprit if you’re struggling with a pattern of car accidents, legal hassles, or other bad news. The good news, however, is that authentic Feng Shui can not only pinpoint – and help neutralize – the energies creating obstacles to health, happiness and prosperity, a good consultant can also help you activate and harness positive energies.

So, who really needs Feng Shui and Vaastu? Most everybody! Because at some point in your life you’re going to come up against negative energies that you just can’t seem to get past. When that happens – when you experience repeated obstacles, misfortune or stagnation – an authentic Feng Shui consultant can make all the difference!

Feng Shui is an ancient art developed in China more than 3,000 years ago. Feng means ‘wind’ and Shui means ‘water’. Wind and water for Chinese bring good health. It is a complicated field of knowledge that shows how to balance the energies of any given place to provide good health and good fortune to people occupying it.

Here are the top ten water fountain Feng Shui cures:

  1. Electricity & Water: A water fountain operates through an electric water pump. It is said to promote wealth in the traditional Chinese culture where water was crucial for the growth of the rice. Electricity (power) brings sparking activity and change. Water is one of the five elementary components of the ancient Chinese art and harmony doctrine of feng shui.
  2. Moving Objects: ‘wind and water’ are the primary essence in feng shui which is both present in a fountain. The cascading water and circulating air around is active CHI which signifies abundance. Chi should always be able to move freely through any space in order to help us to be in balance with the elements surrounding us.
  3. Living plants or objects- plants and flowers represent life and growth. When integrated with a fountain they produce new energy in the house and helps in the circulation of the energy already present there.
  4. Sound- the sheer sound of flowing water attracts people and draws them towards the source for marvelous sensory experience. Chimes and bells when added into a fountain make it enticing for Chi and customers.
  5. Objects solid and heavy- likes stones and statues that are used to decorate a fountain prevents positive Chi from leaving, promoting health and well being.
  6. Objects that shine- crystal balls, mirrors and candles make any interior bright and attract positive energy. Many fountain models come with under water light placed in the frame area providing delightful colors to the water and draws life, happiness and positive Chi.
  7. Colors- red means ‘happiness and strength’. It gives a promise of good fortune. Purple, pink and plum are relatively fortunate colors. Green and blue-green promote tranquility. These colors are easily incorporated into your fountain. To draw in harmony and happiness you may put a red bird figurine, rose quarts, or green plants.
  8. Bamboo flutes- for stability, growth and safety you may lay out a small bamboo flute diagonally on a rock or use a hallow bamboo water spout through where the water could flow.
  9. Ribbon, fringes and fragrance- Using mist fountains allows integration of aromatherapy and water fountain. If not using a mist fountain, it is still possible to have fragrance in the form of aromatherapy essential oils placed in a container with some rocks, or an incense cone artistically positioned on a shell or a scented candle. Your creativity may be put to practice as far as this category is concerned because it is applicable in many ways to increase the flow of positive energy.
  10. An ancient Chinese term “bagua” means “eight areas” (”ba”=eight, “gua”=area ) and Feng Shui bagua is a map or chart that relates the various areas of your life to the 8 sections of your living space. Your fountain must be placed in the gua or area you wish to enhance

People who practice feng shui believe that their quality of life depends on how the positive energy flows in the area which they stay. If matter and space are arranged correctly harmony with the environment is attained in the home, relationships, health, wealth and other aspects in life.

Feng Shui Fish

Most people know that water is an integral part of Feng Shui. Water is one of the five elements used to balance energy. When placed in the appropriate locations it can enhance creativity and scholastic endeavors, bring romance and even increase notoriety. When placed in the wrong location, though, it can fuel rumors, lawsuits, quarrels or even robberies. It is important to have a Feng Shui evaluation to see where water can best be of use in order to support your well-being. Since water is such an important remedy I wanted to take the time to myth bust one of the most common water remedy misconceptions.

When advising on water remedies, I have had several clients ask about fish.”How many fish do we need in our tank?” “What colors should the fish in my pond be?”

These questions are easily answered, it really doesn’t matter. Fish have no bearing on the water remedy or anything else for that mater. If you enjoy fish then they will enhance your well-being; go ahead and add them to your remedy. If you don’t like fish, or don’t have time to care for fish; then please don’t add them. They will only become a nuisance and that is not the goal of Feng Shui.

In Asian and Chinese culture, fish do play an important role. You have likely seen many works of Asian and Chinese art that portray koi, or goldfish. In China, the fish is symbolic of unity and fidelity as it is noted that fish (particularly koi) often swim together in pairs. With this in mind, fish are often given as wedding gifts in the form of charms or figurines to present the newly-wed couple with an auspicious sign of fidelity and perfect union. They also represent fertility and abundance due to their ability to reproduce in speed and volume. Fish are an aspect of traditional Chinese culture or superstitions that has unfortunately been mixed in with the science of Feng Shui. Hope this has cleared up some of the confusion surrounding Feng Shui fish.

PLUM TREE

Feng Shui Tree To Attract Love

The Chinese have long used the art of feng shui as symbols to draw luck on relationships. As Chinese tradition says, using symbols in feng shui for marriage and love not only enhances the relationship between the husband and wife, but also protects it from wicked influences. There are several symbols used in the art of feng shui. For marriage, the use of amulets, pictures, or figurines with the symbol of a dragon – representing the husband – and phoenix – representing the wife – is said to bring luck into marriage. These symbols are usually placed in the Southwest portion of the couple’s room.

A pair of mandarin ducks which is a rather popular romantic symbol and is said to bring happiness to the couple. However, putting more than a pair of mandarin ducks symbolizes infidelity and should therefore be avoided. The use of a crystal figurine of a pink lotus is also said to enhance the relationship between the married couple. Placing the crystal lotus flower in the Southwest part of couple’s room will help to ensure an obstacle-free and happy marriage. Feng shui for love and marriage also considers the proper placement of furniture in the couple’s room. Mirrors must avoid being placed by the side of the bed, or at the foot of the bed, since it is an indicator that problems may arise between the couple.

The southwest direction of the house is the most appropriate direction of happiness in marriage. If you’re looking for a potential life mate or to even be in a happy and fulfilling relationship, you have to reinforce the earth element in the southwest part of your room and your home. Placing lots of crystals in this area, and keeping it brightly lit helps to attract the positive energy for love. Believing in the art of feng shui for marriage and love may indeed attract a positive energy between the couple or even the person looking for love and lifetime commitment. However, let’s always bear in mind that good communication, respect, fidelity and most of all unconditional love, play the most important factor in making any relationship work.

Let’s talk a little about your Feng Shui Living Room. Are you one of those families that gather every evening in the living room? Or do you keep it for guests only? Does your family split up after dinner and spend time alone in their own bedrooms, den or craft room? Bring them back together again with a Feng Shui Living Room makeover. Look around and observe your furniture, wall colors, ceiling, art work and accessories. What do they say to you? Is it relaxing? Is it comfortable to sit and have a conversation? Is there a quiet space for reading? Is there room for activities such as puzzles, games?
Is it a space where you want to spend time?

Consider the size of your room and the size of your furniture. The room and furniture should balance nicely. If your furniture is too big it can lessen the flow of qi creating dead spaces and lack of energy. You might feel blocked in your life if you cannot comfortably walk through a room without constantly bumping into things. Having too little furniture or undersized pieces can be just as bad. This creates a feeling of lack in your life. Make sure to have a well composed floor plan. Of course it should be comfortable, but the shape and color of your furniture is important too. Consider the compass section that your living room occupies. Is it in the North? Then water colors and shapes are suitable. You can also use what will enhance the compass section, in this case metal colors and shapes. Be careful not to over do it with the metal. Keep things simple for a relaxing feel.

Neutral colors are more restful than bright and shiny colors. Keep the wall and furniture colors neutrals. That doesn’t mean you have to use tan or white for everything. There are many shades and hues of all colors. Choose those that make a background for your life instead of taking it over. Lighting is important. You need different lighting for different purposes. Remember not too bright and not too dark. Balance is important. Fireplaces are warm and cozy but they can cause indoor pollution and even loss of heat if it is extremely cold outside. There are certain places in your house where you should not have fire. Check with your consultant to see if your fireplace is positioned correctly.

Make a quick look around your living room for any shas you may find. Are you sitting under beams or a sloped ceiling? These will create a feeling of pressure and head aches. Move furniture out from under them. The same goes for ceiling fans. Are there any corners pointing at you when you sit? Move your furniture or soften the corner with plants, curtains or by some other means. A good feng shui living room will draw your family in. Enjoy your time together.
